How to start a fire in a stove insert or free standing stove

 Take one full page of newspaper and make a ball and keep throwing it in to the firebox until it is full, without stuffing it. Put dry kindling wood on top of the paper, towards the back. Be careful not to put in to much kindling. Light the paper on several different places and close the door so it stays a jar. After a few minutes add more kindling  and maybe some bigger wood. After about 15 min close the door completely.

Always make sure that the wood is dry.
