A New Partnership

After 25 incredible years of serving San Diego as the owner of ChimTech, Jan Richardson is excited to announce his next chapter of life — retirement! Today, we are happy to share that Chris Smith, owner of Innovation Gas Fireplace (IGF), has accepted ownership of ChimTech.

ChimTech and IGF have long complemented one another in the fireplace industry.

Jan is currently serving as our transition coordinator teaching Chris and the rapidly growing ChimTech installation team how to continue on in the tradition his clients have come to know. IGF is eager to expand the range of services we have built over the last decade, while continuing the legacy of quality service for which Chimtech is known and loved. Jan’s mentorship and expertise have been invaluable in ensuring a seamless and successful transition of ownership.
